Bulls Out to Bring Big Stars Back as Bobble-heads
Chicago Tribune - The Inc. Column - February 20, 2001 -- Ellen Warren & Terry Armour

The Bulls' bobble-head doll promotion has been so popular--Elton Brand's noggin will be given away Tuesday at the United Center--that the marketing department is looking ahead to next season's set.

What about Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman? Well, Inc. hears the Bulls want to put together a bobble-head set featuring the trio but it would be a complicated task. Of the three, Rodman is the most likely to give the not to a doll. The team, however, would have to jump through several hoops to get the likeness rights to Jordan's bald head.

Securing the rights to Scotties's noggin also could be tough, as long as he plays for a competing team (the Portland Trail Blazers). But despite the differences Pippen and the Bulls have had in the past, the team is confident it will have a Pippen bobble-head doll after he retires. We hear it could possibly be given to fans the night of a ceremony in which Pippen's No. 33 jersey is retired.
