Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I get a brochure of the Bobble Dobbles available? If you’re a collector, our website database will guide you through the vast majority of the many dolls we’ve produced over the years. If you’re a distributor or retailer, your sales representative can provide you with printed information about our upcoming releases.
Q: How can I purchase an old mascot doll? I have looked everywhere for them. We do not stock older dolls that are available to purchase. If you’re unable to locate the specific mascot you’re looking for through the team, school, or business it represents, we recommend trying secondary markets like online auction sites or privately owned stores that feature merchandise associated with the team, school, or business the mascot represents.
Q: I am interested in purchasing the Disney Bobbles...specifically the Donalds, Poohs, and Stitch. I checked thru the locator and the stores that come up in my area do not carry them. Please let me know where I can purchase them. We recommend either the secondary markets like online auction sites or you might try writing or telephoning one of the stores on our locator to arrange a long-distance purchase and have the doll shipped to you.
Q: I am looking for a Darrell Green bobblehead or any well-known Washington Redskin. Do you know where I can find one? Our website now provides you the means of learning every bobblehead doll we’ve made for any given team in a variety of sports. Once you decide which dolls are of interest to you, check out our store locator to find a retailer who might have those dolls in stock.
Q: Why don't you do X dolls? (Fill in the blank: Star Wars, The Matrix, Bugs Bunny, etc.) We only produce retail bobblehead dolls for which we have permission. There are many thousands of different licenses to choose from, and we have developed relationships with some key partners for developing certain top-end licenses. But you never know—our base of dolls is always growing!
Q: I bought a doll in another city, but when I got it home, it was broken in the package. Taking it back isn't an option as it's too far away. Will you replace it? Regrettably, we cannot, as we do not keep an inventory of our dolls on hand. We encourage you to contact the seller by mail, e-mail, or phone to arrange a replacement.
Q: How come other companies do baseball bobblehead dolls, and how come they look so different from yours? Bobble Dobbles are made of cold-cast ceramic that gives them a heavy, durable, collectible feel. Many companies are authorized to create memorabilia for various sports franchises, and just as there are many different companies that produce, say, trading cards, so are there a number of companies that produce bobblehead dolls. Each company’s line looks different from ours to avoid confusion amongst consumers while collecting the products from different companies. Of course you’ve already found the home of the best!
Q: Why can't I find your dolls anywhere? They’re out there! Our store locator will help you track down the ones you’re looking for, and we’re adding new business outlets all the time. Check back for updates on new locations.
Q: Will I ever be able to buy dolls from you directly? It would be so much easier. We have no immediate plans for a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business, but when we do, this will be the place to hear about it! In the meantime, check out our Store Locator.
Q: Do you keep old stock of dolls like the Ichiro doll that was given away in 2001? Do you ever sell these anywhere? Promotional dolls are only produced in sufficient quantities for that event. These bobbleheads are not available for retail sale.
Q: I own a lot of bobblehead dolls. Can you tell me which ones are valuable? Are you ever going to do a price guide? We are not currently planning to develop our own price guide, though such independent guides do exist. Those guides can tell you which of your bobblehead dolls may be more valuable.
Q: What's the rarest most valuable bobblehead doll you've made? We have made numerous dolls of limited quantity for personal use, and these are therefore quite valuable—at least to the people who made them! In an ever-changing marketplace, the value of dolls goes up and down frequently, so we cannot say any one doll is more valuable than any other. Early promotional dolls, like the Willie Mays doll, are certainly amongst the rarer pieces.
Q: I love bobbleheads and want to work on them. How do I apply to work at your company? You can e-mail your resume to our Human Resources department at: hr@alexanderglobal.com
Q: How come you don't do basketball dolls? You do all the other sports. Our license with the NBA extends only to promotional dolls, at this time. So, we actually make quite a few basketball dolls… you just need to be at a game to get them!
Q: Is there any player you can't make? We hold the license to produce any active player in the sports of baseball, football, and hockey, as well as a variety of auto-racing figures and players from a number of overseas sports. As yet, we have not found any player that we physically cannot produce.
Q: If I'm willing to pay to make them, can you make me (Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Michelle Kwan, A Rod, Dale Earnhart Sr., etc.) so I can resell them or keep them or give them away as gifts? Regrettably, we can only produce a bobblehead for you if you hold the legal license to produce product of that person or figure, and we require documentation showing that authorization.
Q: I'm a retailer, and I want to carry Bobble Dobbles bobblehead dolls. How do I get started? You begin by contacting our sales department at sales@alexanderglobal.com, and they’ll walk you through all of our requirements of a new vendor.
Q: What material are your dolls made out of? Our dolls are made out of a unique cold-cast ceramic that gives them weight and durability, making them much more of a collectible than a plastic toy. It makes them hand-crafted, hand-painted, hand-crafted personalities!
Q: Can I get a sample doll made of myself? You can, indeed. Just follow the link to our guidelines for producing a custom order!
